In my free time, I regularly make and Listen to music under the name JJ Balisan. I play many instruments, but mainly the piano, Bass, and Percussion. I am also an active marathon runner and Coach with Vegan Runners UK.

I am an Alumni of the Sutton Trust/ Fullbright US program and still regularly volunteer with the program. I believe very strongly in the principles of Effective Altruism and have taken the Pledge to Give 10% of my lifetime earnings to charity.

In my Sophomore Year of College, I helped lead a campaign against Sexual assault on college campuses that got international Press attention. Since I have confidentially advised other campaigns. While I currently don’t work on the issue, I am always willing to advise people working on sexual violence campaigns.
